Purchasing Online at Gateway.com—or Looking for a Retail Store?
When you visit Gateway.com, first choose the section that matches your shopping needs. If you want to purchase directly from Gateway.com, click the tab for Home & Home Office. Note: If you want to find a retail store near you, see “Purchasing at Retail” below.
Your next step in buying a PC at Gateway.com is to choose the link for Notebooks or Desktops. From your desired category page, you can narrow the search for a PC that fits your budget by choosing one of two options:
Click on the Compare All button on the right side of the page to see the complete line of Gateway PCs in the category you selected. You can further narrow your comparison by selecting the checkboxes for up to four models and clicking the Compare Selected Models button.
If you know which series of PC you're interested in—for example, the Gateway® M Series—then you can instead see all the offerings in that series by clicking either the computer image for that series or the View All Models button in the column of your desired series.
When you choose a specific model, you'll be taken to a page of product details and technical specifications. You’ll also see links to more information and any great offers we might currently have for that system.
Want just the PC? Then use the fast-buy Add to Cart button and proceed through our easy checkout steps (see below).
Eager to consider great-priced add-ons, like a new carrying case to go with your new PC? Then click the Add Cool Stuff button.
The next page, “Protect Your Investment,” offers key software and essential security, theft, warranty and service options.
When you click its Continue button, you’ll be taken to an “Accessories” page that lists products that pair perfectly with your new PC.
Once you’ve “added your cool stuff,” simply click the Add to Cart button.
Once You’ve “Added to Cart”…
Now that you’ve made a selection, you can continue shopping—or you can check out right away. During checkout, we’ll ask you for shipping and billing addresses and payment information, all in easy steps. This information will be confirmed once you place your order by clicking the Submit button. You’ll receive an e-mail confirming your order within 48 hours (or, if you didn’t supply an e-mail address, we’ll call you to confirm)—and a new PC will be on its way from Gateway to you!
Save your order number, as that will allow you to check the status of your order. Just go to the “My Orders” page in our Customer Service area—one of many offerings of Gateway.com’s helpful Support section.
Need more time to think about your purchase? That’s easy. You can Save for Later and your order will be saved for 30 days. On your “Quote Details” page, you can also print your order list or e-mail it to others. Here’s a great tip: Sending a quote to a friend or family member is the perfect way to share your "wish list”!
Purchasing at Retail
Shopping in our Shop Retail Stores section is a little different from buying online at Gateway.com. That’s because you make your purchase either at your preferred local store or via that retailer’s Web site.
First, in our Retail section click the button for either Notebooks or Desktops. On those category pages, you can see all the great PCs that Gateway offers through its retail partners.
Once you’ve narrowed your choice to the system that best fits your needs and are on that system’s product details page (which provides an overview and tech specs for that system), you have the option to enter your ZIP Code to find a store near you. No store near you? Want to buy via the Web? Just click on the Purchase Online link and you’ll be taken to a list of retailers offering that PC on their Web sites.
Finally, if you want to buy from a particular retailer, go to our Authorized Retail Stores list and choose your preferred retailer. You’ll be taken either to a Gateway page that lists all the Gateway items available from that retailer or to the retailer’s Web site.
